How to cook sea bass in the oven with potatoes and herbs
Today we present you a simple but delicious recipe, perfect for enjoying the true flavor of the sea. baked sea bass with potatoes and herbs is ideal for sharing with family or friends, as well as being easy to prepare and with very basic ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 1 fresh sea bass (approx. 1 kg)
- 3-4 medium potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary and parsley)
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- lemon to decorate (optional)
Preparation:
step 1: prepare the potato and onion base
- preheat the oven to 180°c.
- peel and cut the potatoes into thin slices. do the same with the onion.
- place the potato and onion slices at the base of a baking tray, adding a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper.
- cook the base for 10-15 minutes so that the potatoes start to soften.
step 2: prepare the sea bass
- clean the sea bass well and make some soft cuts on the sides.
- place the aromatic herbs and garlic cloves (unpeeled) inside the fish. you can add salt and pepper to taste.
step 3: bake everything together
- remove the tray with the potatoes from the oven and place the sea bass on top.
- add a little more olive oil on top of the fish and garnish.
- bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the potatoes are golden.
step 4: serve
Once everything is cooked, remove from the oven and add sprigs of fresh parsley to decorate. you can accompany the dish with lemon slices to give it a touch of freshness.
